We usually hold services once per month and also gather for special holidays like Passover, Purim, and Chanukah.
Who We Are

Serving Southwestern Oregon
Coastal Communities

Mayim Shalom is based in Coos County, Oregon and strives to serve the Southwestern Oregon Coastal Communities. We have an annual picnic in the summer, often gather for special holidays, and also offer a condensed version of the High Holy Days.

Mayim Shalom is fortunate to have a visiting Rabbi, Jackie Brodsky, who provides Friday night and/or Saturday morning services. She also offers educational classes, such as Torah readings, and provides information on how to conduct our own Friday night services.

Rabbi Jackie Brodsky

Rabbi Jackie Brodsky is a Rabbi of the Jewish Renewal Movement and has been with the congregation for many years. In addition to leading services, she offers educational classes, Torah readings, and guidance for conducting Friday night services.

Rabbi Jacqueline Brodsky was born in postwar Chicago to a Reform Jewish family. She entered the rabbinic program of Aleph-Jewish Renewal in 1993, was ordained in 2000, earned a Master’s degree in Jewish Studies in 2001, and later achieved certification as a chaplain in 2008.
